Hasta 1860 para ser preciso. Cuando el negocio de la familia Fondu en Vilvoorde ayud\u00f3 a poner la industria del metal en el mapa de B\u00e9lgica. Desde 1921, esta compa\u00f1\u00eda lleva el nombre de Mondiale.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Por d\u00e9cadas Vilvoorde fue el coraz\u00f3n latiente de los \u00abMondialistas\u00bb. La compa\u00f1\u00eda de Vilvoorde, que s\u00f3lo se llamar\u00eda Mondiale mucho m\u00e1s tarde, se llam\u00f3 entonces <strong><em>\u2018Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 en nom collectif Charles J.B. Fondu et Soeurs\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f972a90 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f972a90\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Una nueva y m\u00e1s grande f\u00e1brica<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-371a81ad elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"371a81ad\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>El <strong>hijo<\/strong> mayor (y \u00fanico) <strong>Charles J.B.<\/strong> estaba claramente a cargo ahora y no iba a perder tiempo. Inmediatamente compr\u00f3 un <strong>terreno edificable<\/strong> de 65 acres, situado en la calle <strong>Koepoortstraat<\/strong> de Vilvoorde, cerca de la l\u00ednea de ferrocarril. All\u00ed hizo construir una nueva y <strong>m\u00e1s grande f\u00e1brica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Por desgracia, unos a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, la <strong>hermana<\/strong> Marthe-Madeleine <strong>muri\u00f3<\/strong>. La Sociedad fue obligada a <strong>disolverse<\/strong> y Charles J.B. compr\u00f3 la parte de la hermana Elisa. A partir de entonces la empresa se convirti\u00f3 en un <strong>negocio unipersonal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-524ced6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"524ced6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">El primer autom\u00f3vil de Fondu<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e3869a3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e3869a3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>En su <strong>\u00abUsine Fondu\u00bb<\/strong> Charles J.B. surgi\u00f3 como un digno sucesor de su padre. Sus principales actividades segu\u00edan siendo la producci\u00f3n de <strong>equipo ferroviario y la cerrajer\u00eda<\/strong>. Charles era muy <strong>innovador y ambicioso<\/strong>. Sigui\u00f3 de cerca todas las \u00faltimas <strong>tendencias<\/strong>, especialmente las del <strong>autom\u00f3vil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>En 1906 sali\u00f3 al mercado el primer <strong>tipo de Fondu \u00abCHF 1\u00bb<\/strong>. Este autom\u00f3vil era un muy robusto <strong>4 cilindros<\/strong> (100 x 120) de 20\/24 CV y 3 velocidades con transmisi\u00f3n por card\u00e1n. El jefe de departamento suizo tambi\u00e9n fue con \u00e9l a Riga. Y en <strong>1911<\/strong>, fund\u00f3 una sociedad an\u00f3nima: <strong>\u201cS.A. Anciens Etablissements Charles J.B. Fondu\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Apenas un a\u00f1o m\u00e1s tarde, en <strong>1912<\/strong>, la empresa ya estaba de luto. <strong>Charles J.B. muri\u00f3<\/strong> inesperadamente a la edad de 39 a\u00f1os. La compa\u00f1\u00eda se centr\u00f3 entonces en la <strong>producci\u00f3n de motores de autom\u00f3viles<\/strong> y otras piezas. Operaban todo tipo de marcas de coches, especialmente en B\u00e9lgica.<\/p>\n<p>Pero la industria automovil\u00edstica belga fue gradualmente <strong>amordazada<\/strong> por la competencia extranjera.
