1. Who is responsible?

Mondiale n.v. (details above) is the controller for the processing of personal data through www.mondiale.be. We respect your privacy and process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Belgian data protection law.

2. What data do we process?

Depending on how you interact with us, we process:

  • identity and contact details (name, company, address, e-mail address, telephone number) that you give us through the contact form, by e-mail, by telephone or in a quotation request;
  • the content of your messages and information about the machines or parts you are interested in;
  • technical data (IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, date and time) through server logs and cookies;
  • business data of customers and suppliers (orders, deliveries, invoicing).

We do not knowingly collect data from children and do not process special categories of personal data.

3. Why do we process your data, and on what legal basis?

  • answering enquiries and preparing quotations (pre-contractual steps or performance of a contract);
  • carrying out orders, deliveries, invoicing and after-sales service (performance of a contract and statutory accounting obligations);
  • securing and operating the website and producing statistics (legitimate interest, or your consent where cookies require it);
  • informing business contacts about our offer (legitimate interest; you may object at any time).

4. Who do we share your data with?

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers working on our behalf (such as hosting, IT, e-mail, accounting and transport) under a data processing agreement, and with authorities where the law requires. Transfers outside the European Economic Area take place only with appropriate safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

5. How long do we keep your data?

We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, or as long as the law requires (for accounting records in Belgium, generally ten years). Contact requests that lead to nothing are kept for a maximum of [2 years].

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your data and obtain a copy;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased or its processing restricted;
  • receive your data in a common format (data portability);
